2 013年3月1日起，歐盟舊版的鎳釋放標準EN 1811：1998+A1：2008被新版標準EN 1811：2011替代。

儀器定義：  

鎳釋放量測試儀，也稱旋轉磨損儀，是一種專門用來打磨金屬制品表面的涂層鍍層，以達到2年的使用磨損程度的一種輔助儀器。

儀器用途：

該儀器的主要用途是應對歐盟*新的鎳釋出標準中的鎳釋放量的輔助檢測。

測試方法：  

模擬金屬制品與人體皮質接觸兩年的磨損狀態，經人工汗液在一定條件下浸泡7天后，配合原子吸收光譜儀定量分析浸泡液中鎳的含量，限量為0.5微克/平方厘米/每周。
